Parents invited to attend meeting at Scoill Vallajeelt
The Department of Education and Children has called a meeting this evening (22 May) over the co-location of Scoill Vallajeelt & St Thomas’s.
The move received Tynwald approval last week.
A motion by South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft, who wanted the Court to welcome the move of St. Thomas’s school to Scoill Vallajeelt as an integrated school, not as a segregated campus, was defeated
An amendment from Kerry Sharpe MLC was voted through, to recognise the move to a shared Scoill Vallajeelt campus.
Tonight's meeting at Scoill Vallajeelt is for both sets of parents and gets underway at 6.30pm.
