Sex ban for Kush the red panda

Infamous wildlife park resident separated from mate to avoid breeding

Kush, the Wildlife Park's famous Red Panda has had a sex ban imposed by the Park's management.

The measure has been taken ahead of the breeding season, after last year's failed attempt to apply contraceptive measures to his partner, Sara.

Kush and Sara are already well-represented in the endangered species breeding programme having contributed three cubs.

But given Kush's reputation as an escape artist, does Park Manager, Kathleen Graham think the wall separating him from his normal home in the Co-ar-tee enclosure, will be high enough?
