Travel disruption expected
The Island could be hit by minor damage and travel disruption as strong gales prompt a yellow weather warning today.
Forecasters at the Met Office in Ronaldsway have issued the warning from 8am.
Gusts of up to 65mph are predicted across the Island today, reaching severe gale force.
All areas are thought to be affected but the worst hit regions are likely to be over high ground and to the lee of the hills.
Anyone travelling to and from the Island is advised to check ahead before setting off as Steam Packet sailings and flights could operate to a revised schedule due to the weather.
The yellow weather warning is set to end at 4pm this afternoon.
