Around 200 trees came down in the high winds

Several roads are still closed on the Isle of Man as work continues to deal with the after effects of Storm Darragh.

It's thought around 200 trees came down across the Island in the high winds over the weekend.

The Patrick Road in St Johns and Mill Road in Onchan remain closed, while the A3 between the Corlea Road and Shoulder Road junctions is closed until no later than 6 o'clock while a fir tree said to be in a dangerous condition is felled.

The Department of Infrastructure says it has staff continuing to clear roads and pavements and is focussing initially on the main routes.

Manx Utilities is also working on trees that have become entangled in or are hung up by overhead power lines.
