Partial solar eclipse and Perseid meteor shower on the way
Isle of Man residents will have the chance to see two astronomical phenomena this evening (12 August).
A partial solar eclipse, which will block out 93 percent of the sun, is expected just after 6pm.
This will be followed by a Perseid meteor shower a few hours later which could display up to 100 shooting stars in an hour.
