Price of beer and cheese on the rise
The cost of internet subscriptions has risen sharply over the last 12 months, according to the latest government figures.
Official data from the Cabinet Office shows an increase of 26.5%.
Other items which have seen a price rise include cheese and beer, with postage also increasing by 9.6%.
Rent and DIY materials under the housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels category continue to have an upward pressure on inflation, while air travel costs fell.
The annual rate of inflation as measured by CPI decreased in September to 1.1%, down from 2.5% the previous month.
Rent, petrol and eggs have all fallen in price since September last year.
