42-year-old admits assault
A Santon man will be sentenced next month after admitting punching a bouncer in the face outside a nightclub.
Dean Lewis Leonard, of Harbour Road, assaulted the man outside 1886 on Regent Street on 18 December last year.
The 42-year-old had been ejected from the venue – when the member of door staff also removed one of his friends Leonard intervened and swung a punch at the worker.
It connected with his face but did not cause serious injury; at Douglas Courthouse the court heard Leonard continued to swing at him before being arrested.
A social enquiry report has been requested before Leonard is sentenced on 16 March; he’s been bailed until that date.
