Tynwald votes against calls to move day off back to June
A bid to move the Senior Race Day bank holiday back to June has been voted down in Tynwald.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse argued that two three-day weekends would benefit the economy more than the four-day weekend planned for the summer.
With TT cancelled, for the second consecutive year, the decision was taken to once again push the holiday back to 27 August.
