
A local advocate has given his verdict on plans by the Ministry of Justice for England and Wales to review and clarify laws governing the use of reasonable force in self-defence and in the defence of property.
John Wright says changes are unnecessary, because legistation in the Isle of Man and across the water is already very clear.
He believes any uncertainty about the law stems from how it's been interpreted in past cases (audio file attached):
