Two large roadside trees found to be unstable near Quarterbridge
UPDATE 5 JULY:
Due to strong winds on Friday evening, the closure along Peel Road has been kept in place overnight.
The Department of Infrastructure says the trees will be felled this morning, with the road set to reopen by midday.

A section of a busy road in Douglas will close this evening for tree felling.
Peel Road is to shut between Quarterbridge and Douglas Fire Station from 6.30pm until no later than midnight while the work is carried out.
The Department of Infrastructure says it comes after an inspection following a recent tree fall found two large roadside trees to be unstable.
Traffic will be able to travel one-way from the fire station towards Quarterbridge, but the lane heading towards Douglas will be closed.
