Heavy rain causes surface damage
A section of the Mountain Road is closing for several hours this afternoon (Sat) to allow emergency repairs to take place
Heavy rain over the last 24 hours has caused damage to a small section of the road surface.
The Ramsey bound carriageway from the Bungalow to Ramsey Hairpin will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 12pm until 5pm to allow repairs to take place.
The Douglas bound carriageway will remain open as normal.
The section of road from the Bungalow to the Creg-ny-Baa will remain open to 2 way traffic with a diversion in place at the Bungalow for North or Ramsey bound traffic via the Tholt-y-Will road.
The first practice session is due to take place this evening, weather allowing.
