The search has started for a new Director of Public Health. The successful candidate can expect a salary of between £130,000 - £150,000.
The role is currently held by Dr Hugo Van Woerden, who took over on an interim basis following the departure of Dr Henrietta Ewart. She stepped down from the post in May last year.
Qualities required for the post include strong leadership skills and the knowledge and experience to lead the directorate and its staff to achieve its objectives.
The Director of Public Health holds a vital role protecting, developing and improving the health and wellbeing of the Island's population and provides public health and clinical advice across government.
