MHK says they're a 'dangerous pest'
Seagulls are becoming a dangerous pest in urban areas, according to one MHK, who wants to know if their impact on the population is being investigated.
Member for Arbory, Castletown and Malew, Jason Moorhouse is concerned the birds can cause havoc when swooping for food, will discourage tourists, and are unsafe around small children.
He's submitted a Tynwald question to DEFA Minister Geoffrey Boot, asking if research has been done on the issue and if any action is being taken.
Mr Moorhouse says other places in the UK have introduced measures to tackle the 'winged menace':
