Last three candidates speak ahead of election
Scrutiny is a major role for members of the Legislative Council.
That was the belief of the last three candidates to be interviewed on Manx Radio's Mandate programme ahead of Monday's election.
All fifteen of those standing for the five available places on the Council have given their views and reasons for standing over the last few days.
Speaking on the programme this morning, Senior financial manager Shirley Corlett, retired actuary Richard Furner tax and businessman Andy Hardy said they believed their experiences in business gave them the right skills to play an active role in a reviewing body
