Schools and University College Isle of Man will open as normal this morning.

The Isle of Man Government's Strategic Coordinating Group met this morning to review the situation after changeable weather overnight and concluded that it was safe for schools to open.

School buses are expected to run normally.

People are advised to take care while travelling as there are icy patches in some areas.

It's as a yellow weather warning for ice remains in place until midday today.

Meanwhile, Isle of Man Airport's runway is now open and fully operational.

It's confirmed flights will resume as normal this morning, although there may be some delays while the remaining ice is cleared.

The first departure of the day is delayed by an hour, but the first arrival is expected on time.

No flights were able to depart or arrive at Ronaldsway yesterday due to snow and hard ice on the runway.
