The extended Christmas and New Year holiday for the Island's school children has come to an end.
The Department of Education has confirmed lessons will resume tomorrow (Thursday), after two extra days off due to the snow and ice.
Earlier today it was made clear every effort would be made to clear the bus routes to the schools and, following discussions with the Met Office, the police and the Department of Highways, education officials have given the green light for the term to begin.
Conditions are still treacherous in places, but the majority of roads are clearer and buses are running.
