DESC says case figures aren't shared with schools
An Onchan MHK believes schools would have closed sooner if coronavirus testing data had been shared with the education department.
Julie Edge asked for a breakdown of Covid cases by school in this month's sitting of Tynwald.
She was told that information isn't made available to the department of education, sport and culture.
Almost a third of the cases confirmed on the Island, since 15 February, have been in those aged 19 or younger.
Ms Edge says a different decision may have been taken if all the information had been made available:
Doctors accept three-year pay offer
Seven acts promulgated in final Tynwald Day ceremony before election
Sharp rise in data breaches on Island, says Information Commissioner's Office
Footage circulating on social media 'now an active investigation'
