Beecroft and Cregeen clash on move
The relocation of St Thomas' Church of England primary school to Scoill Vallajeelt in Douglas has been questioned once again.
Douglas South MHK Kate Beecroft asked Tynwald to welcome the move as an integrated school not as a segregated campus - this was defeated.
Both schools will share the site from September and Kate Beecroft is sticking to her view that this is segregation.
Education Minister Graham Cregeen denies this is segregation and insists it's about improving conditions for all involved at St. Thomas' which is inadequate for modern-day teaching.
He says it also maintains the existing state of affairs.
