Cold callers claiming to represent it
The Island’s Fire and Rescue Service is warning about scam from fraudsters who claim to represent it.
Conmen have been calling businesses claiming they’re selling advertising for a newsletter which promotes safe driving for young people.
But they also purport to be part of a fire brigade initiative – and the Fire and Rescue Service says that simply isn’t true, and it’s now passed on details to the Office of Fair Trading.
If you’ve been called, you can contact trading standards on 686520.
