Andreas Racing Association 'deeply saddened' by death of Manx rider
Tributes have been pouring in for a Manx rider who died in qualifying yesterday.
Sam Naughton, from Castletown, lost his life in an incident at Doran's Bend during the third session of the 2026 event.
In a statement, Andreas Racing Association says it's deeply saddened to learn of his passing, describing Sam as a valued member of the ARA family and a familiar face at Jurby.
Having completed his race school with Andreas Racing Association in 2020, we watched him grow from a newcomer taking his first steps in the sport into the committed and respected road racer he became.
His determination, enthusiasm and love of motorcycle racing were evident to everyone who knew him, and it was a privilege to see him fulfil his dream of competing on the Mountain Course for the first time in 2025.
