Preparation has been underway for many weeks
A senior representative of a third sector organisation says their preparations for the festive season have been ramping up for many weeks.
Rachael Nieuwoudt is from the Salvation Army:
Mrs Nieuwoudt helps run church services, as well as the charity's community programme at the Salvation Army temporary headquarters in Fairfield School, Douglas.
The organisation is running a community carol service at 2:30pm this Sunday (23 Dec), followed by a service at 11:30am on Christmas Day and a Boxing Day Meal.
