'Firebreak' brought in
The education minister has admitted that the safety of school children on the Isle of Man has been compromised.
Dr Alex Allinson said it had left the Council of Ministers no alternative but to close schools and nurseries today.
It's been dubbed a ‘firebreak’.
CoMin is due to meet over the weekend to decide on a plan for next week.
