
The Isle of Man's Deputy Chief Fire Officer says the force's main strategy is the safety of Island residents.
But Kevin Groom says this is as much about fire prevention and education as fire fighting.
Mr Groom (pictured) was speaking after a recent incident in Port Erin, in which fire services had to deal with an explosion at a house which demolished the building and caused considerable collateral damage.
