Treasury minister discusses the challenge of targeting benefits
The cost of housing and private sector rent is said to be one of the 'major stresses' for lower earners on the Isle of Man.
It's as the treasury minister has been giving evidence to the Public Accounts Committee at a hearing examining the Budget for the 2025/26 financial year.
Approved during last month's sitting of Tynwald, one measure within the fiscal plan will see most benefits increase from 1 April in line with inflation.
