Two concerts on Island
A choir from Cheshire with strong Manx links is embarking on a mini-Island tour this weekend (19/20 May).
The Vale Royal Singers, on the invitation of Meadowside Choral Society, are performing two concerts on their first visit to the Island.
Tonight (Fri 19) they'll be at Barregarrow Chapel from 8pm and tomorrow (20 Sat) they'll be joined by Meadowside Choir at Colby Methodist Church.
Director of the Vale Singers Margaret Corlett and her husband Steven have family links on the Island dating back to the 1700's.
Meadowside chairman Jonathan King says it's been a logistical challenge bringing the Singers over but hopes they get a warm reception:
