IoM and Tristan unite for unique beer
A Manx-brewed beer with a tropical twist has gained royal approval.
Island Brew is an ale produced locally using berries from Tristan da Cunha, a tiny south Atlantic island home to just 265 people.
Bushy's boss Martin Brunnschweiler, who's behind the unique beverage, sent sample cases to a number of potential clients last month - including Prince Philip, who visited Tristan in 1957.
Last week he received a reply from the Duke of Edinburgh's Private Secretary, sending 'congratulations and warm good wishes' on the achievement.
Island Brew is currently sold at just one British pub - the Elder Tree Inn in Lincolnshire.
