Efforts resume Monday afternoon
Round the Island swimmer Mike Davis will pick up on his attempt at Garwick Bay this afternoon.
He completed what he describes as a short but lovely swim from Laxey to Garwick Bay yesterday, passing through the Laxey Bay marine reserve in the company of pollock, wrass, sand eels and cling fish.
Poor weather meant he was unable to take to the sea on Friday and Saturday.
Mr Davis is trying to complete the feat in around 20 days, to raise funds for the Manx Wildlife Trust and the Blue Marine Foundation.
Today he is hoping to get past Laxey Bay and around Clay Head, but says he is unlikely to get any further, due to the strength of the wind.
