Isle of Man’s first cannabis café says early trading affected but remains committed to concept
The Isle of Man’s first cannabis café, The Green Lounge, says it has faced a “rough start” since opening, pointing to ongoing travel disruption and fuel concerns as key challenges.
In a post shared on social media, the business says bus strikes and wider issues affecting fuel availability had made it harder than expected to attract customers, describing the early weeks as “disheartening”.
The café says it remains committed to its offering, which includes coffee, homemade food and a range of alternative drinks such as mushroom-based beverages and nootropic products.
The Green Lounge has also confirmed it has now introduced consistent opening hours and plans to prepare fresh baked goods daily, as it encourages people to support local businesses.
