Rotary Club of Douglas working with MWT on new woodland project

Hopes to develop nature around Ramsey Hairpin

There are plans to develop a Hairpin Woodland Park just outside of Ramsey in the hopes it will benefit future generations 'for years to come'.

The project is a partnership of the Manx Wildlife Trust and the Rotary Club of Douglas, which celebrates its 100th Anniversary this year.

Through its registered charity, approximately £30,000 is distributed to deserving causes on the island annually, and the woodland project is the biggest it has supported financially.

Club Secretary Howard Callow says the only possible response to the proposal from the Manx Wildlife Trust was yes:
