A member of the Rotary Club of Douglas has been honoured by the international organisation for his work to help rid the world of polio.
Kevin Kneen received the Rotary International Service Award for a Polio-Free World.
The award recognises individuals for their outstanding contributions to Rotary's efforts to eradicate the disease and Mr Kneen received one of just ten awards made across the world each year
He's spend the last three years giving talks at many of the Island's schools, been involved in countless fund-raising activities and helped secure money from government for the cause.
He says he was flattered and surprised to receive the award which was a reflection of all the hard work done by all the members of the club.
