Issue raised in House of Keys
The hike in costs for farmers to use the Isle of Man meat plant was unanimously agreed to by Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture members.
That's according to DEFA Minister Richard Ronan when he answered a question on the subject in the House of Keys today.
Malew and Santon MHK Graham Cregeen asked Mr Ronan to confirm the order had the backing of all departmental members - which he did.
Mr Cregeen also suggested Mr Ronan's officers had let him down, he'd let the Council of Ministers down and the rise in charges could deal a fatal blow to the industry - suggestions Mr Ronan rejected:
