Increased speeds the aim for Island telecoms firms
A senior member of a telecoms firm says it's likely to be two years before we see 5G introduced on the Island.
Instead, work is being carried out to imrpove the speeds on 4G networks.
More than 100,000 people attended the Mobile World Congress earlier this month where industry experts discussed major technological advancements.
Among the main talking points were the so-called Internet of Things (IoT) and the rolling out of fifth generation wireless systems.
Chief Technology Officer at Manx Telecom Kevin Paige was at the event in Barcelona.
