
A team of Manxmen are in the record books after sailing non-stop around the Isle of Man in a Viking longboat.
The crew of 15 friends, who have formed the Row the Rock Challenge team, were aiming to break the world record by completing their task in less than 27 hours, covering all 90 miles non-stop to raise money for local charities.
They did it in just under 25-and-a-half and were cheered on by hundreds as they rowed back in to Peel.
One of them, Dave Parkes, said there was one part of the journey which gave them particular problems:
