Roads in centre of Douglas to close for annual Santa Dash

500 people have signed up to take part in the race

A number of road closures will be in place in the centre of Douglas this lunchtime for the annual Santa Dash.

Prospect Hill and Victoria Street will both close at 12.30pm, reopening by 12.40pm and 12.45pm respectively.

Finch road will close from Crellins Hill to Mount Havelock between 12.30pm and 1pm, while the section from Mount Havelock to Prospect Hill is closing from 12.15pm to 1.15pm.

Parking will also be prohibited between Finch Road and Victory House on Prospect Hill between 11am and 1pm.

500 Santas have signed up for the race, which gets underway outside the Isle of Man Bank on Prospect Hill at 12.30pm.
