The continuing cold weather has led to the Mountain Road and Bheinn y Phott Road remaining closed to traffic today (Tuesday).
Police officers and staff from the Department of Transport carried out an inspection at 8am and said the decision had been taken because of 'continuing perilous conditions'.
Police confirmed the Tholt-y-Will Road, the West Baldwin Road at Injebreck and the Druidale Road would remain closed for similar reasons.
Inspector Kevin Willson says the roads could be closed for some time to come (play audio file):
The Mountain Road has now been closed for more than 48 hours due to continuing problems with snow and ice.
Transport workers gritted the route on Monday, but it had little effect on the road conditions.
