A local man who's campaigning for changes to vehicle licence duty says he's unconvinced by the Department of Infrastructure's response.
Martin Moore wants to see a monthly payment option introduced, as he feels there are many people who struggle to cover the lump sum annually.
He says he's been asking the Department of Infrastructure about it for years and has been repeatedly fobbed off.
A friend of Mr Moore's has this week started an online petition, which garnered more than 2,300 signatures in its first 48 hours
The DoI has issued a response which says: "The Department of Infrastructure is actively pursuing ways in which people can pay their Vehicle Duty with greater flexibility and looks forward to publicising details once they have been finalised."
