Road between Tynwald Hill and QEII closed following RTC

Emergency Services are on the scene

UPDATE 7:10pm: Police have confirmed "the Peel to St John's road (A1) has just re-opened sooner than anticipated."

Motorists in the west of the Island are advised to take extra time ahead of their journey this evening (5 February) as a stretch of the A1 Peel to Douglas Road has been closed.

Emergency Services are currently dealing with a road traffic collision 'just prior to Ballaleece Bridge'.

The road is closed to vehicles and pedestrians between the junction of the Tynwald Inn/Tynwald Hill and the exit of QEII School. 

Police say further updates will be given, but it is anticipated the closure will be in place until 9pm.
