Charity welcomes 50 per cent fall since 2013
Teaching people to respect the water has reduced accidents around the coast, the RNLI says.
The charity published its annual rescue figures this week, revealing 35 people were plucked from the Island's seas by lifeboats in 2015.
That's more 50 per cent less than two years ago.
The RNLI welcomes the statistics, saying an emphasis on public education in recent years has paid off.
