A former MHK has warned that significant power price rises will be of huge concern to the less well off in the community.

Former Douglas South MHK David Cretney spent much of his political career championing the causes of the elderly and those on limited incomes.

He says government has recently extended the winter heating supplement to those who wouldn't normally qualify but more will have to be done:
