Public Health issues advice
There's been a rise in the number of cases of Scarlet Fever on the Island.
The bacterial illness is easily spread, with symptoms including sore throat, headache, fever and a fine, pinkish or red rash with a sandpaper feel.
Public Health urges anyone who suspects they may have the illness to contact their doctor.
Early antibiotic treatment can help reduce the risk of pneumonia, with further advice to stay at home until at least 24 hours after the start of treatment.
