Eastern Civic Amenity Site also shut
Richmond Hill in Braddan was closed by police, due to extremely icy conditions. It re-opened at 12.10pm.
There have been significant traffic backlogs this morning (Monday) because of the weather and an accident on the nearby Cooil Road when a car landed on its roof.
The civic amenity site in Douglas has been shut on safety grounds until more gritting salt arrives.
