Dog still not freed by authorities
A dog which had CPS charges against him dropped has still not been freed from the care of the police.
Canine Rex was handed over to the authorities after concerns he was a pit bull type more than nine months ago, however, the case was thrown out on 30 October.
But the police opted against releasing the animal and a case will now be heard in a magistrate's court in Essex today (WEDNESDAY).
