
The agriculture minister says reviews of the Countryside Care Scheme create uncertainty in the farming industry.
Phil Gawne has recently given evidence to a Tynwald committee which is looking into the scheme.
He says reviews of the scheme cause farmers to be unsure about its future, making them reluctant to invest in it as much as they may have done.
The scheme encourages farmers to look after the land, paying them to do so.
Mr Gawne anticipates there will be recommendations from the committee, which may lead to some changes:
