The Treasury Minister is expected to reveal details about the United Kingdom review into the Island's regulatory system today (Friday).
Allan Bell has been in London meeting officials to discuss the scope of the investigation, which was announced by the UK Chancellor earlier this week.
He was joined by senior figures from the Channel Islands who are also included in the assessment of off-shore dependencies.
Mr Bell has said he won't make anything public until he has briefed Tynwald members, but in the absence of the Chief Minister, he will be holding the weekly press conference for the media this morning.
Tony Brown is recovering from back surgery and is expected to resume his duties at the weekend.
Mr Bell has expressed confidence that any investigation will show the Isle of Man has nothing to hide.
