Board to prioritise trade waste
The reuse area at the Southern Recycling Centre will close for the final time next week.
The Board says it's because of budget challenges and staffing changes.
It also says there's been a rise in broken and dangerous items, as well as things they should be charging for.
The Board wants to prioritise a trade waste service to support local businesses.
Charities and recycling websites are being recommended as alternative places to donate things which could be reused.
The reuse area's final day will be New Year's Eve.
