Festival bounces back with community help
It’s Ramsey Carnival day.
For the first time in 25 years, a full afternoon of carnival events has been organised in the town.
A parade will start from the town’s swimming pool at 2pm and proceed along Old River Road into North Shore Road before heading to the Mooragh Park via the Ballacloan entrance.
The route will be closed to traffic until no later than 3pm.
There'll be dancing performances throughout the afternoon with free children’s rides and inflatables, a range of stalls and food outlets, while prizes will be awarded in a range of categories.
The event, sponsored by Microgaming, has been arranged by a small community group, with support from Ramsey Commissioners.
