Manx Care stopped offering face-to-face sessions last year
A retired midwife has started free antenatal classes for parents-to-be on the Isle of Man to fill the void left by the absence of sessions previously run by government.
Jan Ulyatt launched the course after Manx Care stopped its face-to-face sessions last year.
The three-week course, which is run from The Roundhouse in Braddan, covers labour, birth and early days as a new parent and is designed to help people feel 'confident and empowered'.
As part of the course Jan signposts new parents to other services including paediatric first aid courses which are run by Louise Thomas.

Manx Care is also running a 'Pregnancy Wellbeing Week' between 20-24 January, also at The Roundhouse, to offer women the chance to connect with the maternity team.
