Retail in Ramsey is 'coping' says chair of commissioners

Conrods cafe is now closed

Ramsey is in a state of ‘flux’ following business closures in the northern town.

That’s the view of the authority which says, despite this, commissioners are still hopeful for the future of retail businesses.

TT racer Conor Cummins' coffee shop Conrods, on Parliament Street, Conrods, has closed due to ‘many uncertainties’ surrounding hospitality.

Although the authority can't do anything directly to support local outlets, events like 'Ramsey in Bling' over Christmas encouraged shop owners to 'dress up'.
