No-fly zone in force when roads closed
Drone users in the Island are being reminded that there is a no-fly zone around the TT course during the Festival of Motorcycling.
It extends to the whole of the area within the race course, and 1,000 metres outside, while the roads are closed for practice or racing.
In addition, this year sees restrictions in place for the area within a mile of the centre of Jurby Airfield between 9.30am and 6pm on 26 August, while the Festival of Jurby takes place.
Deputy Director of Aviation Colin Gill says it's down to safety.
The restrictions around the TT course are in place between 18 August and 1 September, during closed-road periods.
