
The week-long saga of the German local authority election finally reached an end last night (Wed)
Last Thursday, a counting error led to the wrong result being declared, with Susan Boot told she’d won a seat instead of the true winner of the position, Kenneth Watterson.
But before the board met in St John’s Methodist Church Hall last night, returning officer Christine Faid retracted her declaration.
And with both Mr Watterson and Mrs Boot present, she read out the real result
